I was surprised by the weight of it. It's a big change from the sofa pillows I've been using for zazen - definitely a solid-feeling product. The quality of the heavy material and stitching make the zafu feel like it will last for years. It's too bad you can't see the tucks and pleats of the material in the picture. It's quite attractive. The wide strap allows me to hang the zafu in a closet away from dog and kitty claws. The buckwheat hulls filling keeps my backside from sinking, slipping, sliding and shifting as I sit, and the crescent shape is perfect. This great zafu removes my very last excuse for not sitting. Bummer.
