Pure white 100W LED High Power Light Lamp Chip + 85V-265V Build-in Power Supply Driver Review
This 100 W LED is very bright - looking straight at array will temporarily de-sensitize retina. Power supply works fine. Need to add box for PSU and 110V cable.LED array operates at 31.6 V x 2.89 A when initially running (50 degC on backplate). Current and brightness drops as LED gets hotter.
At 50 degC output is 14,000 LUX at 30 cm. 1400 LUX at 1 m. LIght is emitted into all forward directions fairly uniformly - broad flood light (nearly 2 pi solid angle, or >160 degrees ).
Need to dissipate 60-70 W of heat when running so must use a thermal heat sink. I used ~12 cm (linear dimension) Al heat sink and a 120 mm PC fan. I didn't let the unit back plate get above 90 degC while testing - typically ran it <60 degC with fan operating with ~10 W driving motor. Without fan, would probably need much larger heat sink. Am experimenting with CPU/Heat-pipe style cooler to stay compact, but allow reduction of fan noise.
