In my experience, the Aetrex Lynco L600 strikes one of the best balances between comfort and support among aftermarket shoe inserts. The L600 and related models were formerly made in Germany (where the Birkenstock and Pedag inserts are also made), but it appears that all Lynco models are now made in the Dominican Republic. (Aetrex does not mention this anywhere on their website.) However, these inserts do feel very well put together. The arch support is a little further back than many people are used to, but this is because the design is intended to imitate the actual shape of the human foot. Overall, this model is very highly recommended, especially if you have wider feet (unless you have low arches or flat feet, in which case the L620 might be a better choice for you).
