Prospera TENS Electronic Pulse Massager Review

There was a problem with my order and a problem with the item.

When the Prospera PL029 was originally ordered through an Amazon vendor, the item that was shipped was the Prospera PL009. To the credit of the vendor, they quickly agreed to take the item back and as they no longer had the model PL029 in stock and did not know when they would get it back in stock, they quickly refunded my purchase price and shipping costs in their entirety.

I subsequently ordered the item (at a slightly lower price) through Newegg.com. The problem with the PL029 is that the item does not completely match the description. The description states (among other things):

Five Auto Modes (stimulation programs)
Eight selectable massage pulse styles
High frequency H stimulation to relieve pain quickly

It does have 8 selectable massage styles. The model PL009 has 5 Auto Modes but I have not been able to find such modes on this model. The instruction manual included with this item is appalling and gives very little information on how to use the unit. When I wrote directly to the Prospera Company specifically asking them to address where the Five Auto modes were and how to access the High Frequency H stimulation to relieve pain, they e-mailed a more detailed manual for the PL009 model. When I wrote again, pointing out that they did not answer my questions and sent a manual for the wrong unit, they never answered the second customer service request.

Unless you want to buy this item for the purpose of trying it without usable instructions and solely for trial and error attempts at TENS massage and pain relief, I would not recommend this unit.
