Midnight Vampiress - Small - Dress Size 2-6 Review

With the price I wasn't expecting much, but I was plesantly surprised with the quality of this costume. I got the XL- I am 5'8, size 14, 38C, 36" waist and 42" hips and it fit perfect. Not too tight or too loose.

PROS: Nice, thick, stretchy velvet material. I was worried the collar would be crushed in transit, but it is basically a shaped piece of foam covered in velvet and it came out of the package and stood up just like it was supposed to. The dress is long, which is nice for a tallish girl like me. Without heels on it came perfectly about 2" off the floor so if you are shorter you should be able to add some heels and it won't be too long. I was worried the sleeves would be itchy but they were nice and soft, and the cut of the dress at the bust is very flattering. I was worried I wouldn't be able to wear a bra under it, but it will be fine. You could definitely fit some shapewear under there if you wanted to as well.

CONS: The "waist" of the dress seemed a little high to me, but looking at the picture I see that the corset part is supposed to fall just above the hips. I am a little short waisted though, so I usually like to wear things further down on my hips to elongate my figure. This is a great costume for busty girls- if you are small busted you definitely will need some kind of push-up, padded bra underneath to really fill out the dress and make it look like it should. The slit in the leg was a little demure for me- it actually came just to the bottom of my knee on the dress I received, so I am going to cut it up higher to make it a little sexier. Again, I am 5'8 and have really long legs, so this might not be a problem for someone with shorter legs.

Overall, I am really happy with the costume. I think it would be really flattering to any figure and with a few accessories- necklace, fangs etc it will be perfect.
